You are responsible for a number of network locations across the country. Each site includes at least a 24 port switch with IP devices connected to it. You’d like to consolidate know when these devices are responding to network requests and be alerted when they are not. You also don’t want to install and manage a monitoring server at each site. Finally, you want a way to get a summary view of what is and isn’t up and running on your network.
Solution
Colony’s cloud based monitoring solution can monitor uptime on any IP addressable device at your distributed locations. Our probes are delivered from the cloud to your locations via a VPN tunnel so no local server hardware is required. Our front end aggregates all the data into a single view, giving a quick overview on which servers, cameras, printers, point of sale systems and any other IP devices are responding on the network or not. For devices not responding for a certain timeframe, alerts can be initiated to your IT or managed service teams.
